Update...the Norwood surgery is fundamentally finished...just a few more stitches to go in placing the Sano shunt. They will be starting the rewarming process and taking him off the heart-lung bypass soon. Still breathing.

  3. We are all still breathing and hoping. Thank you so much for the updates in such succession today. This singular event has consumed so much of my thought today. Pull through little man. Cannot wait to see the post of your post surgery picture sans breathing apparatus. Jason and Kristin, keep breathing and breathing while we all hold our breath out here.

  5. Kristin and Jason,
I'm so glad that the little guy's surgery is almost over and going well. I felt so nervous all day at school today! And unlike my usual avoidance of the computer, I couldn't wait to get back to your blog before heading out to coach. I can't really even imagine what you're going through; I know my heart stopped every time my niece coughed for the first year of her life, and when I take care of her I still sneak into her room every hour to make sure she's ok. But I can see that you two have great strength and tons of support in your families and schools. I'm sure that Sam can feel your love, whether you're holding him or not, and I hope that I can meet him very soon.
    Love,
    Carolyn

  8. So good to hear. I've been checking this site every chance I get, letting the classes in on Wolfie's progress! Fortunately, Mrs. Ehrle was talking about EE's today, allowing me to check in frequently.

Keep us updated. My thoughts are with all three of the Leclaires!
